Answer

These three workstreams are being taken forward as part of the joint Atlantic Philanthropies/Delivering Social Change Dementia initiative. This initiative was launched in September 2014 and will provide funding of £6.25m over three years with the aim of improving health and social care services for people living with dementia and their carers.

The project will: promote greater understanding and awareness of dementia across the whole community; enhance the quality of services for people with dementia through improved training opportunities for staff; and develop a range of innovative support services for carers of people with dementia. Detailed work plans are in place for each workstreas.
