Answer
Shackleton was placed on the open market for sale on 30 June 2015. Proposals to purchase the Site must include a Community Benefit Plan which demonstrates how community needs have been identified and will be met as the site is developed. Community benefits will be one of the criteria used to assess proposals to purchase the Site.
It is hoped that the development of Shackleton, including the relocation of the DARD headquarters, will provide a much needed boost to the economy in the north west.
