Answer

Since the publication of the Executive’s Disability Strategy in February 2013, Government departments have taken forward a number of actions to improve the lives of people with disabilities. These actions are highlighted in the first report on the implementation of the strategy, which is available on our Department’s website at: http://www.ofmdfmni.gov.uk/disability-strategy-report-2013-2014.pdf

In May of this year, we extended the lifetime of the Strategy until March 2017 to ensure that focus remains, and to give additional time for priority areas in the strategy to be progressed.

Following a public consultation exercise, we are currently developing a set of indicators to measure progress on the implementation of the Strategy.
