Answer

The Department is developing an Anti-Poverty Strategy that aims to address inequalities directly affecting the everyday lives of the most vulnerable people in society and will bring focus to identifying and addressing the issues, barriers and disadvantages that undermine equality of opportunity. This work is being undertaken using a co-design approach, with involvement from stakeholders at all stages of the process. This will help ensure that actions arising from the Strategy will impact all those who are most in need of support. It is planned that the Anti-Poverty Strategy will be published in December 2021 subject to Executive approval

Access to Sure Start and Early Years Education programmes is a matter for the Minister for Education.
