Answer
The Housing Executive has statutory responsibility for responding to Homelessness, however it does not record the data requested by Constituency but does record the data at a Local Government level. The table below reflects the number of households in temporary accommodation by council area, as of Monday 28th June 2021.
It should be noted that the council area refers to the origin of the homelessness application and not where the placement was made.
| Council Area | Number of households in temporary accommodation as of Monday 28th June 2021 |
| Antrim & Newtownabbey | 88 |
| Ards & North Down | 134 |
| Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon | 124 |
| Belfast | 1,772 |
| Causeway Coast & Glens | 81 |
| Derry & Strabane | 520 |
| Fermanagh & Omagh | 112 |
| Lisburn & Castlereagh | 153 |
| Mid & East Antrim | 129 |
| Mid Ulster | 75 |
| Newry, Mourne & Down | 183 |
| Total | 3,371 |
