Answer

Funding to support the early market for ultra-low emission vehicles is available from the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) which provides a range of e-car related grants towards the purchase of electric vehicles including home and workplace charge points. My officials work closely with OZEV to monitor the range of e-car related grants and provide advice and guidance to support the transition to zero emissions.

OZEV has added this company to its lists of authorised installers for both the electric vehicle Homecharge Scheme and Workplace Charging Scheme. A successful application to OZEV under either scheme ensures that the applicant must then use a charge point installer from OZEV’s authorised lists to avail of these grants. There are a number of companies in Northern Ireland listed as authorised installers for both of these OZEV charge point schemes.

The OZEV website can be viewed, via the following links, where details of the electric vehicle Homecharge Scheme and Workplace Charging Scheme and the two lists of OZEV authorised installers can be found:

I am committed to supporting the transition to electric vehicles as part of wider transport decarbonisation work and to working in partnership with Executive colleagues and others across our islands to help deliver a change in the way we travel that also helps us to tackle the climate crisis.
