To ask the Minister of Health to detail any plans he has to provide staff in special education schools with a recognition payment, in recognition of the health and social care support they give to children with special educational needs.

The HSC recognition payment is limited to the qualifying cohorts as listed on my Department’s website:
https://www.health-ni.gov.uk/news/hsc-staff-recognition-payment-faqs.
Any consideration of an award for staff in school settings would be a matter for the Department of Education.
