Answer

During the period 2016 – 2020, there were seven persons convicted at court of a homicide of a female who had a previous conviction or convictions at court for Violence Against the Person offences. However, from information held, it is not possible to determine whether the victims of these previous convictions were women.

Note:

Figures relate to initial disposal at court only. Results of appeals are not included.

Homicides have been taken to include murder, manslaughter and infanticide offences.

Figures relate to cases where there was a conviction for at least one of the offences specified.

Figures for 2020 are the most recent available.
