Answer
The Project Stratum wholesale pricing model formed part of the bid and there is a process to benchmark these prices against comparable services in the rest of the UK, under the State aid rules that govern the project. The network is open for any retail service providers to use, encouraging choice and competition in the market.
Retail pricing for broadband services for consumers and businesses is not regulated but is set by the Retail Service Provider (RSP). For queries relating to broadband performance and pricing, my Department encourages citizens to contact their RSP. As Fibrus RSP is the only provider currently offering services on the Project Stratum network, they can be contacted via telephone on 02890 993 230, or by completing the online form at Contact Us | Get In Touch | Fibrus.
