Answer
NI Water has advised that there are three investment schemes proposed for the Limavady area in Price Control 21 (2021-2027), subject to funding. These are Bovally wastewater pumping station (£1.35m), Limavady catchment upgrades (£2.133m) and Ballyclose Street Combined Sewer Overflow (£1.256m) and once they have been completed successfully, this should address most, if not all, of the existing catchment constraints.
According to NI Water’s analysis, conducted in July 2021, NI Water has advised that the headroom capacity of the Limavady wastewater treatment works would permit the connection of approximately 1200 domestic properties, taking into account an allowance for non-domestic development.
