Answer
The Housing Executive is currently investigating a range of renewable energy options to provide more affordable energy services to tenants. These include ground source and air source heat pump systems, and geothermal energy production and heat storage.
In its role as the Home Energy Conservation Authority the Housing Executive has engaged with power network providers, the Utility Regulator and the Department for the Economy about how to best develop technical options suitable for both Housing Executive and privately owned homes.
