AQW 5035/22-27 Written question to the Minister of Education
To ask the Minister of Education, pursuant to AQW 3962/22-27, (i) to detail the earliest potential date when decisions to change the eligibility criteria for free school meals and the school uniform grant will come into effect; and (ii) whether she has plans to expedite this process in light of the cost of living crisis and its impact on families’ ability to pay for school meals and uniforms.

My Department is continuing to progress a review of the eligibility criteria for free school meals and uniform grants. I will be considering the next steps for this review in the time ahead.
