Answer
My Department does not operate within a constituency basis, rather road maintenance section office boundaries mirror local council boundaries. Both the additional £1m of funding for potholes and the further £8.1m of funding for structural maintenance have been allocated to each of the four roads divisions. A proportion of the funding for potholes will now be used in the Causeway Coast and Glens Council area, with plans already in place for work on the Frosses Road.
The additional £8.1m funding for my Department’s Structural Maintenance Programme is to deliver additional resurfacing schemes and continue to address the poor condition of our road network.
Work has started on the planning and delivery of new schemes for delivery this financial year. However, the development of the programmes is on-going so a full breakdown of these is not yet available.
