Answer
DfI Roads is a statutory consultee to the planning process and provides advice to Council planning to enable progression of applications. When consulted by the planning authority, my department assesses the proposed development to determine its transport impact and how best to mitigate any adverse impacts on the road network.
Where applicable, my department will recommend conditions to be included as part of an approval. The planning authority is responsible for ensuring a Developer complies with any conditions recommended by the department.
