AQW 10003/22-27 Written question to the Minister for the Economy
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail any steps he will take to mitigate the economic impact on businesses from NIE Networks' power outages, planned during office hours, including (i) the provision of free, short-term loans of generators; (ii) planning the outages for times when the businesses are not operating; and (iii) providing some level of compensation.

NIE Networks is a privately owned company operating under a conditional license issued and enforced by the Utility Regulator. Reliability of supply requirements and targets are a matter for the regulator to address.
NIE Networks website has information and advice for any customer affected by Planned Work in their area and seeks to minimise disruption to business and domestic customers.
