Answer
Public parking is the responsibility of local councils. Tourism NI has not provided any guidance to local Councils on the specific methods required to pay for public parking by tourists. Tourism NI regularly engages with all 11 Councils on a range of services for tourists. For instance, they are working closely with Causeway Coast and Glens Council on the Connected Causeway programme, which proposes to create four new park and ride/stride hubs across the area to alleviate congestion and promote sustainable transport.
