To ask the Minister for Communities to detail the actions planned under the Housing Supply Strategy within the next three years to address housing shortages in East Londonderry.

Following the publication of the Executive Housing Supply Strategy on 9th December, work is underway to establish cross-Departmental structures to develop the first action plan which will be focussed on addressing the whole system issues that impact on overall supply across all of Northern Ireland.

This work will supplement action to address locally specific issues that may impact on housing requirements in an area which is primarily taken forward by Local Councils working closely with the Housing Executive Place shaping teams. This includes through the delivery of Local Development Plans, which are responsible for establishing the zonings and policies to ensure the spatial growth requirements of the local area can be met.
