To ask the Minister of Education to detail whether the Education Authority has secured a permanent site for Causeway Academy, and what the projected timeline is for completion.

Causeway Academy will open in September 2026 across three existing sites. The Education Authority is currently working with the Principal Designate on the configuration of the three sites.

Whilst a new school formed and operating on a split site following an amalgamation would be well placed to receive funding for a new build in a future major capital call, there can be no guarantees that this would be the case. Given the constrained capital budget position, I cannot confirm when I will be in a position to make a new call for major works projects.

I will continue to make the case for increased and sustained investment in education.
