Answer

Tourism NI is actively supporting the development of new tourism experiences and attractions acrossthe north, including within the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council area.

To do this, Tourism NI provides a range of online resources, including a dedicated e-learning platform and practical experience development toolkits. These resources offer businesses access to guidance, tools and learning modules that support the design, development and enhancement of high-quality tourism experiences. Covering the themes of culture and heritage, food and drink and landscapes and outdoors, they help businesses strengthen the quality, appeal and market readiness of their tourism businesses.

Through its Experience Development team, Tourism NI works closely with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council to identify opportunities that build on the area's unique appeal. This includes identifying high-potential tourism experiences that may benefit from participation in Tourism NI's Experience Portfolio which provides ongoing strategic support to enhance experience quality, market readiness and commercial appeal, while strengthening our overall destination offering.

Collaboration with the council is further supported through Tourism NI's Embrace a Giant Spirit Council Ambassador Network. This quarterly forum brings together tourism managers from all 11 councils to share knowledge, promote best practice and encourage a consistent approach to tourism experience development, helping to maximise opportunities across the sector.

Alongside this, Tourism NI supports and participates in a range of in-person industry events and works closely with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council to engage directly with tourism businesses, share expertise, highlight available support and encourage the development of new and enhanced visitor experiences.

Tourism NI is also working with Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland through the £6.5 million Shared Island Tourism Brand Collaboration Project to strengthen the Causeway Coastal Route's position as a premier international touring route and to create stronger links with the Wild Atlantic Way. This collaboration is supporting the development of new visitor experiences, enhancing the quality of the tourism offer and increasing the visibility of the Causeway Coast and Glens in key domestic and international markets.
