Answer
All planning applications for wind energy development are assessed against the provisions of the relevant council Local Development Plan (LDP), the Strategic Planning Policy Statement (SPPS) Edition 2, relevant planning guidance, the views of statutory consultees and all other material planning considerations. Where an LDP contains specific policies or guidance relating to wind energy development, these will be a primary consideration in the assessment of proposals within that council area.
