Answer

The NAP 2027–2030 consultation proposals were developed following extensive stakeholder engagement with the Nutrients Action Programme Stakeholder Task and Finish Group (NAPSTFG), which included representatives from farming, the agri-food industry, environmental organisations and officials from my Department. In addition, four public information events were held during the consultation period to discuss the proposed measures.

Officials are currently considering feedback received through the consultation and at these events. The issues raised, together with the Department's response, will be set out in the Summary of Consultation Findings and Departmental Response report, which will be published in due course.

Any changes proposed to the measures in the consultation will be presented to me so that I can take my final decisions on the measures in the Nutrients Action Programme 2027 – 2030.
