Answer
As part of a regulation improvement programme, RQIA, has introduced a three point scale of compliance for all regulated services - fully met, partially met, not met. In addition, through its inspections, RQIA conducts an independent assessment of, and reports on, the quality of care in relation to three criteria: is care safe?; is care effective?; and, is care compassionate? The findings in relation to compliance levels and quality of care will be reported in RQIA's inspections from 1 April 2015.
From April 2015, RQIA assesses compliance against the revised Care Standards for Nursing Homes.
