To ask the Minister of Finance and Personnel, following his Department's approval of the outline business case for the redevelopment of HMP Magilligan in January 2015, whether capital funding will be made available in the 2016-2017 budget.

Answer
It is for the Minister of Justice to prioritise his capital budget to meet the costs of the redevelopment. The Minister can also bid for additional funds as part of the forthcoming budget rounds. It will then be for the Executive to decide if additional capital funding should be provided to the Department of Justice.
