AQW 12288/22-27 Written question to the Minister for Infrastructure
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, pursuant to AQW 5899/22-27, (i) whether Part 5 of the Transport Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 enables his Department to financially support the purchase, conversion and running costs for wheelchair accessible taxis; and (ii) whether he will provide financial support to taxi firms and drivers to modify their cars, in order to create more wheelchair accessible taxis.

I would advise that there is currently no policy or budget in place to provide financial support towards the purchase, conversion or running costs for wheelchair taxis under Part 5 of the Transport Act (NI) 2011.
