Answer

Proposals outlined in my Statement on Enabling Access to Justice Reform have been informed by extensive engagement and research including comparative analysis of systems and supports in place in other jurisdictions. Whilst the scope of proposed reform would not allow a detailed comparison of proposals to be provided in a written answer, reform proposals have sought to reflect learning from other UK jurisdictions and Republic of Ireland and, in particular, where operating models appear to provide greater choice, more effective delivery models for citizens, and greater transparency and assurance on value for money. Each proposal outlined in my Statement will be subject to detailed consultation which where appropriate will include comparative information on other jurisdictions.
