To ask the Minister of Education whether any assessment has been made of (i) the impact on families where children with special educational needs are unable to access a special school summer scheme place; and (ii) the availability of alternative childcare, respite and holiday provision for children who are unable to access a summer scheme place.

My department is not aware of any assessment of the impact on families of children with special educational needs unable to access a special school summer scheme place, nor is it aware of any assessment of the availability of alternative childcare, respite and holiday provision for children who are unable to access a summer scheme place.
