AQW 53867/22-27 Written question to the Minister of Health
To ask the Minister of Health to detail (i) any safeguards that apply when an existing deprivation of liberty authorisation is ended or allowed to lapse as a result of Supreme Court judgment [2026] UKSC 16; (ii) how the person concerned and their nominated person will be informed and supported to challenge that decision; and (iii) any independent scrutiny and advocacy that will remain available where restrictive care arrangements continue.
