To ask the Minister for Communities (i) what conversations she has had with football clubs and bodies regarding Northern Ireland’s expected joint hosting of Euro 2028; and (ii) for her assessment of the impact that the delay in the funding for the Sub-Regional Stadia Programme for Soccer will have on Northern Ireland's ability to host matches, training camps and training matches.

My Department along with other Government partners are continuing to engage with the football associations, including the IFA, on the joint ‘Expression of Interest’ to host the UEFA European Championship Finals in 2028.
In terms of the Sub-Regional Stadia Programme, the challenges created by not having a functioning Executive or agreed Executive budget means I cannot bring new proposals for endorsement and agreement as is required.
I met with representatives from IFA and NIFL, and have agreed to work with them to progress this project to application stage.
I remain committed to moving this Programme forward and will continue to work to progress it.
